STEP 1: Start the USA Wrestling Leader Membership Process
Visit USA Wrestling’s coaching information page for instructions.
When you go through the USA Wrestling membership process, you will be guided through the required steps.
STEP 2: Complete SafeSport Training & Background Check
In order to receive a USA Wrestling Leader Membership, you must:
- Complete and pass the required Background Check
- Complete the required SafeSport Training
These requirements are completed as part of the USA Wrestling Leader Membership process.
STEP 3: Coaching Certification
In addition to having a current USA Wrestling Leader Membership, coaches need at least a Copper Coaches Certification depending on the event they are attending.
Coaches Certifications are valid for life and do not need to be renewed each year.
STEP 4: Request Affiliation with Hoquiam Jr. Grizzly Wrestling Club
Once you have completed the required USA Wrestling Leader Membership process:
- Log in to your profile at USA Wrestling Membership.
- Go to the Club Affiliations section of your profile.
- Search for: Hoquiam Jr. Grizzly Wrestling Club or Club ID# 2200082602
- Request affiliation with our club.
Once you submit the request, the Hoquiam Jr. Grizzly Wrestling Club will approve your affiliation and add you to our roster.
